I am open to hearing your thoughts on this quote…

If you read the Bible, and look through the lineage of Jesus, this is true also. The Israelites they were enslaved, and oppresed; they also became a lineage of great kings, and feared prophets and warriors. To me, the core of this quote is equality, and the various experiences and history we all share that make us a human family.

Some people will say “I am a nation of kings” or alternately, “My people were slaves and so we never had a chance in life…” I think what this quote is saying is to look beyond our immediate situation, and beyond our pride…we come from a human lineage not one of title or position. And ultimately, we are all chidren of God.

    Blessings,

    Lynn
