NOTE:

These are my cousins.

Lucy Callen (1870-1940) was a widow when she married Solomon “Sol” Green. Her first husband was James “Jim” Martin (my uncle). Together, Lucy and Jim had two sons named Frank Martin (1896-1935) and Herbert Martin (1900-1964).

After Jim’s death, Lucy wed Sol Green.

Sol and Lucy Green had the following children:

Estella (b. 1908)

Roberta Green Chisom Ford (1913-1994). Roberta’s husband, Jesse Ford, was also called “Jack Ford”, born 1914. The parents of Jesse (Jack) Ford are John Ford and Ola Waters Ford. Roberta and Jesse Ford’s daughter is Renona Ford Davison (1933-2010).

Twin Sister Willie Green Hollis (1910-2003).

Homer Green (1915-1988)

Dock (b. 1918)

Nathan (b. 1919)

Nora (b. 1920)

Rosalie “Baby Girl”

Annie

The Greens were farmers who lived in Summerfield and Valley Creek,  working on the Morgan Place. Sol Green lived from 1871-1931 and may have been buried at Wayman’s Chapel.

I will be posting more on the Ford family, Green(e) family and related branches.
